Update from the State Employees' Career Transition Center - Tuesday, January 17, 2012
Staff at the State Employees' Career Transition Center are available to help you transition into a new job if you have been reduced in force (RIF).  The following resources/services are available to all state employees affected by a reduction in force:
  • One-on-One Meetings with Counselors
  • Assistance with Application Preparation/Update
  • Computer Access for Job Search
  •  Fax machine
  •  Long Distance Telephone Calls
  •  Printer/Copier
  •  Resume software to assist with developing/designing resumes
  •  Employment Services staff from Joblink on site:  

 Tuesday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
 Thursday 1:00 p.m.  - 4:00 p.m

  •  Staff from Unemployment Insurance Section (Call Center) of the Division of Employment Security on site:

 Tuesday and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

  •  Starting Your Own Business information and free workshops including:   
    • Job Search Skills
    • Interviewing Preparation Skills
    • Make Your Resume Work for You
    • LinkedIn
